America, Europe
The Americans went for the classic golf diamond for the opening day at Valhalla, only leaving a slight smudge on the brain with the inclusion of baseball caps. But the lads from Europe have got it all wrong, having obviously allowed their team of stylists to plunder through a holiday rep’s wardrobe in search [...]

As the alcohol flows in Louisville, a band of merry fans proved that you don’t have to be mad to support Padraig Harrington, but it helps if you’re dressed as an everyday leprechaun.
Hilarious.

Is this man the new Davro?
We’ve witnessed his rib-tickling antics during photo shoots, but the word on the street is that Nick Faldo (pictured probably telling a joke) isn’t only unbelievably funny when the cameras are about, he’s just funny all the time. A BBC insider has reported that when a rowdy member of the [...]

Iceman shows yet another emotion…
At last, the golf begins, and we can all move away from the mesmerising Faldo show. It’s been entertaining, but for all the wrong reasons.
Every single utterance has come from a similar bonkers part of the brain reserved only for David Brents or Alan Partridges , as he set about asserting [...]

Some might call these men a waste of space…
With the captaincy of the Ryder Cup comes a certain amount of prestige, but many argue that, really, the skipper counts for very little. Thus far, Nick Faldo has done nothing to endear himself with a bumbling display of gaffes, defensive interviews, and by picking just one [...]

Do you expect me to talk? Or shall I just write it on a bit of paper?
As well as bearing the slightest of passing resemblances to Pierce Brosnan, Nick Faldo has been playing a game of James Bond at Valhalla. “I think they have got a couple of spies following us - and that’s okay,” [...]

Oh, great days these…
Of course, everyone is judging Nick Faldo based on his recent interviews, during which he managed to get sarcasm all wrong - the idea is to make the interviewer look stupid, Faldo, not yourself. Thankfully, Polite Applause has since stumbled across this 1991 Faldo outing on kids TV show Going Live, and [...]
