Welsh actress is Hollywood’s first lady of golf

Catherine Zeta Jones was first introduced to the rock ‘n’ roll world of golf by ancient husband Michael Douglas, who plays off a 12 handicap. And by all accounts, she’s not bad with a stick in her hand. Rock god Alice Cooper, a well-known golf addict who regularly plays with Douglas and Zeta Jones (hmm, Michael Douglas seems to miss the point of golf - surely it was invented as the perfect excuse to get away from your wife?), says she’s got game:

“Catherine has a smooth swing and she is good off the tee with steady mid-irons, but her handicap is more like a 25 [she's since got down to 20]. She has potential, and boy, is she a distraction to play alongside!”
