Ex-champ makes surprise Valhalla appearance
Boxing legend Muhammad Ali has visited Valhalla to meet both Ryder Cup teams. Lousiville’s most famous son was on hand to provide a motivational boost for the players. Ali arrived on the 10th tee in a golf cart for a surprise visit to the American team yesterday.
Fellow Kentucky native, Kenny Perry, seems to have gained a little too much motivation from the meeting and is now acting like he is about to head into the ring with Sergio Garcia. “I’ve prepared the best I know how, and I’m ready. That’s just the bottom line,” said Perry. “It may not go my way tomorrow, but then it might. I’d like to be the first guy to knock Sergio out.”
Ryder Cup boxing? It could be an idea.
