Gonzalo goes swimming

Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano stole Lee Westwood’s British Masters crown before being thrown into a lake at the Belfry by his compatriots. The Spaniard defeated defending champion Westwood in a play-off before fellow golfers Alvaro Quiror and Pablo Larrazabal threw him into the lake at the 18th hole.
“I think it was payback, especially (Pablo) Larrazabal,” said Fernandez-Castono. “We threw him in at the French Open and I am sure he wanted to get his revenge. It was cold, but it just stank. It smelt terrible, as I do now.”
The new champion was forced to attend his press conference wearing only a towel after his aquatic experience!
